Everyone should buy a car from Patrick Collins

I've had my 1st car, a second hand 95 Buick Lesabre for about 5 years, and the whole time I had it I have admired Mazda vehicles from a distance. One minor fender bender was enough to total my car and get me searching for its replacement. To that end, I encountered Patrick Collins when I entered Sill-Terhar Motors, Mazda Dealership. I came in with specific Mazda 6 to try out. We quickly took it out for a test drive, and after driving it I had a couple concerns about that car. Patrick suggested few others vehicles they had on the lot to try out; a low mileage 2016 Mazda 3 hatchback, and a pair of 2016 Mazda 6's with around 40,000 miles on the clock. I found that the Mazda 3 (while great value) wasn't for me. The 2016 Mazda 6, on the other hand, was very nice, but I had some concerns about the reliability of Mazda vehicles. I have only ever had GM products in the past, and I am just unfamiliar with common problems for Mazdas. To address my concerns Patrick took me to speak with a member of the service department who did establish, to my satisfaction, that current generation of Mazda 6's did not suffer from any particular pattern of mechanical failures (which is what my online research had suggested). This left me with two concerns about the specific 2016 Mazda 6 I looked at (and liked the best out of the cars I drove). First, it was an ex-rental car, and secondly, the car sounded a little rough at idle on initial startup. While it is common for the Mazda 6s to idle at a higher RPM on startup to warm the combustion chamber/catalytic converter (which is stated in the owners manual), I thought that the car sounded off. Almost like the ignition timing was slightly out of adjustment (which is impossible since its computer controlled). In the end, that "rough" idle was probably within the spectrum of what is considered normal for these cars. However, the "rough" idle, combined with its history as a rental car caused me to pass on that car. At the end of that day, while I didn't buy a car from Patrick (because of my concerns with that specific car), I think everyone should. He was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, very patient, and he is the lowest pressure salesmen I've ever met (seriously, I could easily have forgotten I was car shopping). He is a genuinely nice person, and should I need to buy a car in the future he would be my first call.

Super attractive SUV ! BUT , the headrests jam one's neck so far forward, it caused us neck pain, and the dealer ignored us . Any MD or Chiropractor would look at this seat profile and lament it . XC90 performs so well ! It is so lush so plush so atractive. But the neck pain is a deal breaker . Also just to change the station or adjust the fan/AC/heat is a 4 step process on a screen = major distracted driving !! Love 90% of this vehicle ; but the above is a deal breaker . Hope it improves for future or will never buy one again.

Like most I was very skeptical about buying a car online. But I did my research and google'd the company like crazy. What I found in my research is the company had laid off people due to rapid growth and during this time frame the reviews were not good at all. Which to me makes sense and most likely vroom could have done a better job to make sure customers did not feel the effects. But after that period the reviews were really good. Also they have a very high rating with the BBB. That all said I decided to purchase my Jeep Wrangler through Vroom. The entire process from start to finish was awesome! I did not do a trade but just a purchase. I submitted my request for finance and purchase on 7/29 Sunday morning and received a call 7/30 Monday morning. I spoke to the sales person which there was no pressure just Q&A. I put down a deposit so I could secure the Jeep. There was communication via email by Vroom throughout the process including when the Jeep was in route. My jeep was delivered within the time frame they explained, which was the following Friday 8/10 cleaned and in excellent condition. I received my tag and paperwork about a month after the Jeep was delivered. I have 3 kids so spending 4 hours at a dealership is not fun. I would definitely buy from Vroom again. I hope this review helps others who might be on the fence. (Atlanta, GA)

We generally have bought high quality used cars, took great care of them, and used them up. We're an older couple, working fewer days/year and valued the flexibility and convenience of a three-year commitment with option to buy or trade. I'm a engineer with an MBA in Finance and enjoy running the numbers. I was very pleased with the offer made by Sill-Terhar's Patrick Collins on a 2016 CX-5. The key is calculating the "all in" cash versus buying outright, and we ran several other dealers' offers on competitive vehicles like the RAV4. In our case, the modest financial cost of having lease flexibility was better than burning nearly $30,000 of dry powder. Sill-Terhar simply gave us the best deal, from square one. I'm generally cautious around car dealerships... as one should be. Buying or leasing a vehicle is a big decision and commitment. Car buying online can NOT be this easy anywhere else. Submitted credit app, followed up on the app on Monday 6/11/18, got approved, received contracts on Wednesday 6/13/18, returned them back at a FedEx drop-off box, Vroom recevied them on Thursday 6/14/18, paid my deposit as well, Vroom Rep called me on Friday 6/15/18 and said my car had been moved to the shipping department to be inspected and prepared for shipment. On Monday 6/18/18, I received an email saying that estimated delivery day would be 6/20/18. At this point I'm over the top anxious and super excited for 6/20/18. On 6/20/18 evening, around 5:50 p.m., Vroom Rep calls and tells me that the delivery guy won't make the delivery time scheduled for 6/20/18 so it'll be 6/21/18 when he delivers the car. I received my car on 6/21/18 at 6:00 p.m. at a Wal-Mart super center parking lot. I signed the bill of lading and received my keys. Oh, and there must had been miscommunication between the delivery guy and Vroom, because before he handed me my keys he asked who was going to pay him, and I told him my shipping fees and all were included in my financing. So he said they are probably just going to send him a check. Other than that; everything went extremely smooth. I did not run into any problems other than the day delayed delivery (which wasn't a big problem). I am completely satisfied. I received my paperwork and my car all in ONE week!!! ONE week!! It does not get any better or easier than that. The car is freaking awesome, l LOVE it!! It's just like brand new on the inside and almost on the outside, I take that back, it is pratically brand new on the outside with just minor scratches and paint chips. I love love love my car!!! I would highly recommend Vroom to family and friends and to anyone looking to purchase great vehicles at reasonable costs. In the future, I plan to purchase again from Vroom. Thanks Vroom!!

My car was totaled by a reckless driver a week ago (I was rear ended at high speed while I was sitting in traffic), so I was having to find a new car on a short and unexpected notice. I obviously wasn???t a very happy car shopper, given the reason behind my urgent need in a new car. After test driving several cars and visiting several ???luxury??? car dealerships, I was about to go home, but decided to visit one last dealership (Schomp BMW). I had BMWs in the past from Schomp, so I knew the quality of their cars and the outstanding quality of service they are well known for. However, I was blown away when I walked in their doors today. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I told her I was there to test drive the X3 and she immediately went in search of an available client advisor for me. She reappeared with a true gem and class act named Sam Nejad. I told Sam my story about my car being totaled by a reckless driver and that I was interested in the X3. He went right to work for me and I never looked back. He was extremely knowledgeable about BMWs, especially the X3. Before we went on our test drive, we walked around the entire vehicle and Sam pointed out all of the features and he did the same once we got inside the car. Once we got on the road, he showed me all of the features in real time as we were driving. At my previous ???luxury??? dealerships, the client advisors/sales people told me more about their personal lives than about the car. At one dealership, I knew more about the car???s features than the salesperson did and at another, I ended up knowing more about the salesperson???s entire life story than I learned about the car. Sam was honest, trustworthy and 100% BS-free. Not once did I have reservations about him. He has the rare and unique talent of balancing extreme professionalism with being funny and very personable. His passion about BMWs is infectious. I especially valued his ability to be very efficient, but yet not feeling rushed at all. He went above and beyond. I have no idea where Schomp BMW found Sam, but I hope they hang on to him because he is the real deal. I have to say everyone I interacted with today at Schomp BMW was exceptional: so friendly, helpful and professional without being overbearing at all. Schomp BMW and Sam Nejad are refreshing in the world of car dealerships. They know the perfect recipe for doing it right. Thank you!

On Monday, 7/11/2016, I drove into the BMW service area. I was immediately greeted by a friendly young man who took my keys and stated that a service advisor would be with me in just a moment (this was a good start). Jenna came over introduced herself and we briefly discussed the one year warranty on my wife's 528XI. She mentioned it would be about an hour so I decided to wait. About a half-hour into my waiting time, Jenna came over and mentioned that prior warranty work was missed (by me and my wife). If I wanted to wait it would not take long. I agreed. Net, net, in less than two hours we had new wiper blades, engine oil service, and brake flush. In addition the micorofilter was replaced and the car was fully washed and dried. I would like to thank Ms. Jenna Malone and the entire BMW service team for their attention to detail and outstanding customer service.

Some people thrive on the haggle experience....I am NOT one of those people! My bank was advertising VROOM and I thought I???d take a look. Admittedly, I was scared to buy a car....site unseen....but I was purchasing a new car (2017), so I wasn???t as scared as buying an older model. I called VROOM when I saw the car I wanted and the paperwork (I financed my car through my personal bank, but I hear they finance as well). started right there and then. Literally my car was shipped a week later and was picked up at our local mall (there was 3 other cars dropped off). The only hiccup...they forgot to send my temporary tags for the car, but we got it all squared away. Love my car, been driving it for 4 months now. Positives of buying through VROOM....no haggle, fair price; easy paperwork; 3 month warranty on all cars (try getting that at a regular used car dealership); Roadside Assistantsnce on all cars; FREE shipping to your house (or nearby)! Negatives: When I realized they didn???t send temporary tags with the car, I tried to callig back the 3 people I had worked with to purchase the car and each of their numbers were disconnected which really scared me. I emailed VROOM directly about my tags and they got back to me within the hour and emailed & overnighted my temporary tags. Hopefully, they change this practice and appoint someone to work with you until the car is successfully registered in your home state! Other then that....would totally recommend them!

We came to Boulder Toyota, again, as we have been Toyota owners since Christ was a corporal. We knew, from a little research on the very good website, that the type of car we wanted was in inventory. It was a little unusual, as the model was the result of a cooperative agreement between Subaru and Toyota to build a two-seat sports car. By an accident of scheduling, we had just test-driven the Subaru-badged version, the BRZ [I think that is the designation]. The Subaru version had two glaring disqualifications : the front seats felt as if they were simply a piece of plywood, and the clutch operated like a badly-adjusted VW Beetle clutch [which we once went through getting fixed]. Gary Hillman was our contact, made through the website, and what a stroke of good fortune THAT turned out to be ! We explained that we had a two-seat, manual transmission car in mind, and that one on the lot met that set of specifications. Gary offered a test-drive, and we asked about how far [in distance] we could go. Behind the question was a problem the City of Boulder had forced upon us : to make the sidewalk "ADA-compliant," in case someone in a wheel chair came down the walk, the sidewalk had to be jack-hammered out and re-poured to be flat. Since 2/8/1989, no such person had EVER ben observed. No matter, the City was in charge, we were told. The driveway apron now scraped the front air dam of the 2007 Prius we bought @ Boulder Toyota 10 years ago. We were worried about the ground clearance on the 860 Special Edition we were about to test drive. Gary said "give it a try, but go slowly and be prepared to back out if you hear contact." Amazing offer, when you think about it! WHAT A BLAST TO DRIVE ! We did back out of the driveway without actually entering it, as yes, courtesy of the City of Boulder, we heard the front air dam scrape. Did not matter that we could not get it into the driveway, and therefore into the garage. WE WANTED THIS CAR ! [We already had some solutions in mind, as our next-door neighbor to the West had "invented" one method to keep his small Audi wagon from scraping.] Long story, yes, but illustrative of why the dealership, and in this case, the consultant, are so good to customers. We went back, said "Let's do this," and bought the 860 Special Edition that very afternoon. Had not had such a fine experience since the now-retired Satch Desai helped us buy the 2007 Prius. After-sales service just as good: I could not find the key device for the wheel locks [one on each wheel in place of ordinary lug nuts]. Went back, found Gary Hillman. He came out, looked in the "trunk " and there it was. [I had never even seen one of these, so I did not realize what I had been looking at.] In summary and conclusion: go to Boulder Toyota to get a reliable car [Toyotas are famously reliable] and have an excellent encounter with a well-informed, friendly guy named Gary Hillman. You will NOT regret it !

I was referred to Vroom by my neighbor. He had explained to me that he bought a car from them, but ended up returning it do to circumstances. He spoke so highly of the process that I started to casually browse the site periodically among other car sites. It didn't take long until I found a car I wanted. The buying process was easy. I called, if I wanted to put a temp hold on the car, I just had to put a deposit down via credit car. I could get that back later on or take it off the purchase price. Easy enough. I was then overnight paperwork to complete with return overnight envelope. I knew a holiday was coming up and that would effect delivery - and it did, by about 4 or 5 days. The car still arrived 1 day earlier than expected with 60 day temp plates ready to go. Trade in? Wow that was too easy as well. Fill out the form, rate the condition, what I expected, and go. They replied back within to me 1 business day with their answer. I read a bad review about someone's temp plates expiring and it being a hassle to get new ones. I too ran into a situation where my tags expired. I called Vroom up and they had a new temp tag to me by the end of the day. No hassle or push back. My actual plates arrived about 2 weeks later, so I am glad I called for new tags. Christos was my original rep. He was great to work with, explained how everything would happen and a rough time line of when to expect things. I would suggest working with him. I expected pre-sales to be very good. I did not expect post-sales to be just as good. Coming off an absolutely terrible buying experience from a local dealer, this was a pleasant 180 of a process. Now when I share my terribly buying experience, I immediately follow it with how positive this one was. Keep it up Vroom.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

I made some inquiries via the internet, with specifics of what I was I desire. Basic budget of $20K with payments $300 or less, no white, black or red vehicles, light interior, sedan or SUV and new. Had multiple responses and made appointments with 3 different dealers- major pain everyone showed me colors I didn't want, tried to talk me out of my cap and said I couldn't meet the monthly payment. Ready to call it a day when I received an email for Tom Conrad from Sill-TerHar, with a picture of the cars available my review. Called and confirmed all my above requests which he got spot on. Ended the call with an understanding that I wanted to spend no more than 75 minutes total with paperwork and review of car and features. The interior is comfortable and very classy. Sound system great. So far it has been a dependable safe car to drive. The car gets good gas mileage and easy to drive. The entertainment/navigation is on a nice big touch screen that is easy to use. The only fault with this car is having to turn the auto start/stop feature off manually on the touch screen every time you drive it. The auto start/stop is an annoying feature and I feel it puts too much stress on the engine.

Buying a car is stressful even if you have a lot of experience. Historically, it has been time consuming, emotionally taxing and most of us go into a dealership with far less knowledge than we ought for a purchase of the magnitude of a car. Salespeople have (understandable) pressures to move inventory and even the most fair-minded is looking to get the highest price they can get away with. It is harrowing at best. With my experience with Carvana, all of these stresses were eliminated. I browsed inventory as widely or narrowly as I wanted, for as long as I needed. I could dictate pricing ranges that were suitable for me. The car I received was *exactly* the car I examined online, right down to some inconsequential bumper scuffs. Beyond this, and *absolutely unlike* any other online business, I could speak to a *real human being* within a few minutes of calling (I had six or seven conversations with Carvana agents over the 3 1/2 weeks from car selection to car receipt). They either had the answers at hand, or researched them and replied promptly with a follow up call. Delivery coordination and drop off (and test drive) were *painless no pressure* experiences???all preparatory contract paperwork was prepared in advance leaving only title transfer stuff to take care of. It took 45 minutes, tops. (I transacted entirely in cash, so I cannot speak to the process when there is financing.) Honestly, the biggest delay was on *my* end getting the insurance transferred (having to wait on hold with my insurance company for 15 minutes). The car was 100% was described???absolutely no surprises. The images on the web site for my car were not stock images. What I saw was what I got. Naturally, it was clean, filled up with a full tank, with new tires and the whole nine yards. Even got a ???free??? Carvana reusable coffee cup and key chain. Nice touch. The part that I found the most extraordinary was the 7-day money-back guarantee, which pretty much covers a change of mind unless you get into an accident or drive it a ton (over 400 miles, and even then, they???ll take it back after a modest per-mile-over-400 charge). All in all, I was dreading buying a car (and selling my used one) and Carvana made it pleasurable. I am absolutely recommending them to all of my friends and coworkers and I hope (as a relatively new company) they keep up the excellent work.

I was looking at other vehicles in the same class, and they're all within spitting distance of each other in terms of exterior styling and performance. But the interior of this car is what really sets it apart from the pack. It's truly luxurious; the minimalist Scandinavian design is really refreshing!

Working with Mark Gorsline and Walter Barnes. We brought two cars to our appointment; 2007 S60 for new car inspection, and our new pre-owned XC60 for 10,000 mile service. Following inspection of the S60 Mark discussed with us at length prioritizing which of the corrective actions should get done as soon as possible, and which could wait. We agreed with his recommendations. Walter Barnes was very patient and giving of his time to answer our many questions and provide his considerable insights on the operation of the broad array of technology & subsystems in our recently-purchased XC60 T5 AWD Inscription. We left with much better understanding of our car. Ron Young took the time to review with us the pluses & minuses of each of the extended service warranty options.

A well made and safe SUV. Plenty of space and interior fantastic, best in class by a mile in terms of quality and looks. Exterior good looking although the rear end is a bit bland. Performance, acceleration and mpg (diesel) disappointing. Needs a V6 diesel or make the ridiculously expensive Polestar chip standard. if ever there was an admission by Volvo their cars are slightly underpowered the Polestar option confirms it. Overall safe, very good looks and underpowered. Would have one though for safety and looks alone but on condition Volvo reduced the price slightly to an acceptable level given the inadequate performance.

We are from Indiana, in CO for a vacation. As good luck would have it, vacation time corresponded to maintenance time for our XC70, which we purchased from Rickenbaugh's. I scheduled the appt but showed up at Rickenbaugh's a day early! However, Dwight Davis was undaunted by my gaffe and, although he was busy, multi-tasking tending to other customers, he "worked us in" without a grumble or a glitch. Even with the discovery and repair of an unexpected leak, our car was ready on schedule as promised (just a day early!). We were provided a loaner vehicle, which we drove around to explore our old haunts when we lived in Denver decades earlier. Oh yeah! What did I like about my experience? I appreciated the courteous professionalism and attention we received from Mr. Davis; the efficient operation of a busy and bustling shop; and the use of a vehicle during our time there. We'll be back! Perhaps the next maintenance service will coincide with vacation time – as it has for three years now!

Who knew I would buy a Volvo but after test driving the XC90 R-Design I knew I could move forward and enjoy this vehicle for years. It is sporty and comfortable. The safety features and driver technology options are amazing although maybe a bit overwhelming at first. I feel and hope it will be the best overall car I have owned.

I was a Jeep girl...it took 25 years and 3 kids to get me out of one. Unfourtantly 3 car seats do not fit in the back seat of a Jeep. I did not want a monster sized suv and a mini van situation was not happenening. We bought 3 Clek car seats (the car seats you can fit 3 across) and headed to Volvo, Audi, and Lincoln....the car seats fit in an XC90, Q7, and a MKX, but the safety features, add'l cameras, and the sporty drive on the XC90 won me over. We love driving it and the kids love it. It's so luxurious. I feel bad saying so but I kinda don't miss my Jeep.

Your service staff are always excellent. I have been in a lot, the 120,000 mile checkup went well and didn't take long. Next was to have the front axel joint boots replaced....they found that both axels were badly damaged and had to be replaced. That was done in a very few hours. I was amazed at how quickly. Quality service as always.

This car is rock solid! It has every safety feature there in the book while providing comfort and performance. I thought I'd give up performance when I traded my Volvo V8 XC90 for the new 4 cylinder engine. What a surprise to find the power and zest delivered by the turbo and super charged engine with the 8 speed transmission. I added the Polestar and it was a welcomed addition. I just rented a Cadillac Escalade on a ski trip and couldn't wait to get back to my Volvo.

Excellent service! Ryan Stapleton was very courteous and helpful. I waited for about an hour and a half and Ryan came back and explained that they couldn't duplicate the problem and they wanted to keep the car to look at it more. He got me a loaner and I left. He called later and explained they still couldn't find the problem and wanted to keep it overnight. Next day he called to let me know they were going to replace the starter under the warranty. I am very satisfied with the service and how I was treated.

We previously had XC-60 2012 R design, we didn't think we could be happier, since we had no problems and were extremely satisfied with it, however, the 2017 r design XC-90 has exceeded our expectations, I was concerned going from 6 cylinder to 4, however, this engine is more than acceptable, extra features on 90 are great, and as usual Volvo seats are superior.
