MBUX
The eSprinter’s infotainment system is powered by MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), cutting-edge technology that leverages artificial intelligence to constantly optimize its driver assistance for each business, driver and route.
As an assistant and drive-enhancement tool all in one, MBUX has learning capabilities, ensures the most efficient routes with real-time traffic data, and offers infotainment features. The system can be operated via touch or the “Hey Mercedes” voice control assistant.
Navigation with Electric Intelligence ensures the greatest possible planning certainty when Mercedes me connect is activated: It calculates the best possible charging strategy to get to the destination as quickly as possible, considering the current range in real time, traffic and route conditions, charging stations along the route and the desired state of charge at the destination.
Mercedes me connect
Once the eSprinter is paired and activated with a Mercedes me connect company account, company drivers can use the Mercedes me connect App and Mercedes me connect functionalities through the MBUX multimedia system if available. The Mercedes me connect App monitors the eSprinter’s real-time location and condition, while also offering features like remote locking and unlocking of doors, vehicle search and viewing current charging status.
It also brings a full suite of innovative convenience features, including the ability to remotely precondition the cabin’s climate settings and send a destination to the MBUX navigation before even stepping inside the van. Mercedes me connect also enhances the eSprinter’s MBUX system with online functionalities such as real-time traffic view, weather overlay and nearby charging station search. These give drivers the information they need on the road, and if a vehicle ever gets into an accident or breaks down, its information and position are instantly sent to the Roadside Assistance Center.
Drive Modes and Regenerative Braking
The eSprinter comes with five unique drive modes:
- Comfort: Maintains a smooth and comfortable drive while providing top-level performance and torque
- Eco: Limits power for better fuel efficiency
- Maximum Range: Limits use of climate controls and vehicle output to conserve battery life and improve range
- Regenerative Braking: Converts energy back into kinetic energy that can be used or stored for future use
- Intelligent: Radar sensors and navigation data automatically adjusting the recuperation level to the traffic situation so you don’t have to
Another advanced feature of the eSprinter is the regenerative braking feature, which converts kinetic energy into electricity and stores that energy inside the battery. Drivers can easily control the level of regenerative braking, which affects how long they can travel without having to stop to charge the eSprinter, with paddles on the steering wheel.
Advanced Safety
Mercedes-Benz also offers some of the most advanced safety features on the market for the eSprinter, including:
- Standard: active brake assist, crosswind assist, rearview camera, cruise control, heated and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors
- Optional: Digital Rearview Mirror, Blind Spot Assist, Attention Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist
All of the eSprinter’s safety features work in unison to provide unprecedented awareness and assistance.
