Purchased a used 2017 Dodge Ram Lonestar 6.
Purchased a used 2017 Dodge Ram Lonestar 6.7(L), with a cummins engine December of 2022. My previous vehicles were all of the Dodge family from Jeeps, to trucks, to a Dodge Charger. When this truck runs and it's not cold outside, it pulls my 37' 5th wheel nicely with no problems. It handles great and rides comfortably. But since I bought it, it's had one thing after another wrong with it. Listed are some of the major things I had to deal with. 01/2023 realized the heat doesn't work when the temperature outside gets cold. Driver's side heated seat doesn't come on. 08/2023 I had to replace the transfer case. 11/2023 the ABS light came on, but then goes right back off. If I hook it up to see what code it's showing it doesn't show anything at all. But at random times on a long drive it will start beeping and blinking that something is wrong. 07/2024 replaced the DEF injector 10/2024 the heater does not work when it's cold outside. If the outside temperature drops below 50 degrees I get no heat inside the cab. I replaced the thermostat, flushed the heater core to no avail. I use a blanket to keep myself warm in the winter. 11/2024 replaced the DEF injector again 12/2024 the heater still not working so this time we reset the heater controls on the dash and flushed the heater core again. Still doesn't work when it's cold outside, but if the temperature outside is above 50 degrees the heat works just fine. 01/2025 my DEF system warning went off again.

Very reliable
Had the truck, a Tradesman, 3-years and not a single problem with it, besides what the previous owner did. They put leveling blocks on it and big tires that made it ride like a dump truck. Plenty of power with the 6.4l. Very reliable.
