A cool car, but not too sporty
Car is very loaded with styling character that most people these days love. The fact that a 60's hold back was being sold in 1982 is a unique thing as well. It's a good boulevard cruiser and great for the car shows. It however is not a spectacular sports car with vague steering and marginal brakes. Handling is decent and it corners flat. The engine's HP is suited to the stock chassis and brakes. Build quality is average for the period with some squeaks and rattles. This car comes with the 4 speed OD transmission so a bit of a boost in fuel economy and relaxed cruising on the highway. The sealed hatchback makes loading cargo a pain. Parts and accessories are super cheap and available for this car and it's fairly reliable. So a very interesting car for the collection, just a bit numb and unresponsive compared to many other sports cars and this was reflected in the road tests at the time as well.

Classic head turner.
Fun, fun, fun. It's an absolute blast to drive and looks great. Every middle aged man should own one at some time in his life.

Fun, Fun, Fun. An absolute blast to drive.
35 year old CLASSIC. Definitely a head turner. It's a drive down memory lane. Compliments and thumbs up every time I get it out of the garage.
