(upbeat music) <v Announcer>Cars.com Auto Review. Hi, I'm Dave Thomas with cars.com, and this is Acura's NSX concept.
And while it may look like a wild sports concept car, Acura says they're gonna build it in the next three years, and they're gonna build it in the USA. A lot of people think the NSX looks like Audi's RA Supra car, and so do I. It's a mid-engine car like the RA, but it's about four inches shorter, and it does have some surprises. Acura's developing an all-new V6 engine to go in this NSX with direct injection, so expect horsepower to be far beyond Acura's top engine right now, which is about 305. But there's am even bigger surprise, it's gonna have what they call Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. What is Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive? Well besides being really hard to say on video, it's an all-wheel drive system that uses two electric motors on the front wheels to give added acceleration. By the time this NSX goes on sale, it'll be nearly a decade since the old one hit the streets. However, people loved that car. Some might wonder, can Acura build a true performer today? Well, Nissan built the GTR, and that's one of the fastest production cars on the market, so we think Acura has a really good chance. <v Announcer>For more car-related reviews, go to cars.com or our blog, kickingtires.net.
