Now you've been in the Chicago auto show before you may have seen uh test cars. Where you can take a ride inside one these cars. Well, this year there are more than ever before with Toyota, Ford, Jeep and Chevrolet offering the ride along experience. So let's take a look at what's out there. At Jeep you'll find one of the more aggressive courses at the Chicago auto show. They're going to put you in a Wrangler or a grand Cherokee, their big elevation changes, steep angles, rocks, and logs that the Jeeps go over. The finale of the course is a large hill. It's 30 degrees steep. And at the top there's snow that falls on you. Well, it's fake snow, pretty much no bubbles, uh which we're thankful for, cause here in Chicago, we've seen more than enough snow over the past few weeks. For many people, this will be the first time they see a Chevy volt driving under its own power that you can get in. Take a ride and hear for yourself just how quiet this car really is. Ford's course has the all new Ford Explorer and they're demonstrating the all wheel drive system, Hill and sand control and their unique terrain modes. Including sand. Toyota's core simulates, what you would find at a construction site. And they'll take you for a ride in the Highlander, Tacoma, Tundra, and four-runner. The display is one of the more moderate ones. As far as shaking you around and taking you off road. This is very much a construction site where you're going to be going over gravel logs, pipes, and dirt mounds it snakes its way through their area. And isn't next to the regular Toyota cars. You're going to have to travel inside a little bit to find the construction site. (dramatic music) You're no doubt going to experience long lines at any of these courses during the show, but if you have to choose at least one to go on head over to Jeep (Electric guitar playing) <v Auto Speaker>For more car related news, go to cars.com or our blog, kicking tires.net.
