(upbeat music) (bell) This is Kristin Varela, chief mom at motherproof.com. And I am Patrick Olsen, suburban dad cars.com and we're at the Chicago auto show. We're gonna do a fantastic game called the pack, load and go.
Chief Mom against Suburban Dad and see who is the better parent. Who can load this car up quicker and get back into the driver's seat? The winner takes the loser out for coffee. Indeed. Now I'll tell you this. That Kristin has one advantage on me. She's done this once in 28 seconds. I think I can beat that and I think I can win this event. That's just trash talk. Well, let's see how it goes. <v Kristin>Good luck buddy. Don't trip. Watch it, watch it. Oh. Look oh. Nice move. Oh, oh. (laughs) Watch out for that seatbelt retractor. Careful, careful. Oh, oh. Oh man. This is gonna be tough one to beat. It's gonna be tricky. Oh. (female) 27 point. Oh man. Oh wow, that was clever. That was clever. Nice job, nice job. Nice job. I can do it. I think, I think I've got the upper hand. She has some strategies from earlier. I do have some strategies and I've got the practice. I've got the kids of this age. Patrick's little bit older. His kids are a little bit older. So I'm, I think he might be a little out of practice. Oh suburban dad how do you feel about that? You Know I think this whole age thing is just an, it's an ageist bias and I think years of working, I've got three kids she has two. Who's done it more often. I'm just saying. All right, I'm just going to step in the middle and get these two on. Your, your moment of glory is over. All right, Kristin, in her earlier time, Kristen had about 28 seconds. We'll see how she has to do, how she do here. She's got to shave a second or two off that to win. I'm ready. (female) Suburban dad are you ready? (Patrick) Oh I'm more than ready. (female) Everyone on site are you ready? (Patrick) All right let's see how Kristen does here. The pressure is on. She's out of the door clean. Oh she opens to the back around the slide, but it shuts behind her. Oh, that could hurt. She's got the bag. Oh, she's using tricks. Then gets the door. She get the kid in. I think the kids crying. She's got the seatbelt. Oh a little trouble with the seatbelt. Oh, she's got the seat belt now. She's back to the driver's seat. How close will it be? Oh, oh that's gotta hurt. (female) 22 point Oh, she crushes my time. Crushed time. (clapping) (Patrick) Oh now the paparazzi and the jazz hands are out. It's, it's a sad sight. All right Patrick how do you feel about this loss? I'm, I'm crushed. I, I thought I had her and you know, the door opening, closing. The seatbelt issues. I thought I had her three, four seconds and she, she crushed me. I don't know if he's gonna be able to show his face on this site anymore. I think most people are asking me not too. It's been a tough, tough day. Kristen chief mom how are you feeling right now? I'm on a high. I feel really good. I've got the, the adrenaline still pumping and, and it's a great feeling to, to, to beat the suburban dad. Well done. That was well done, really, honestly. I can be a big man about this. Yes. I like it. Give them a round of applause.
