The redesigned 2026 Hyundai Palisade gets the automaker's first-ever XRT Pro trim, a more serious off-road package than the previous XRT appearance package. But is it the three-row family SUV for you?

This is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro, and if you're in the market for a three-row SUV, I'm gonna give you two reasons you might want to skip this one and some reasons why you still might want to go for it.
The biggest news for the 2026 Palisade was the addition of a hybrid powertrain, and you can't get it on the XRT Pro. The hybrid is quicker, more responsive, while the gas V-6 in the XRT Pro just feels pokey. The hybrid is also significantly more fuel efficient. The XRT Pro is not the Palisade's top trim level. It sits above the SEL Premium, but below both the Limited and Calligraphy. The XRT Pro is also missing some comfort and convenience features that you can get on the cheaper SEL Premium trim like driver's seat memory and heated and ventilated second-row captain's chairs. And if you're willing to spend a little bit more, about $2,000, you can get the Limited trim, which gives you even more features like leather upholstery, acoustic side glass front and rear, a dual-pane sunroof instead of the single pane, and a third row that's both heated and power-folding. All of those features provide a much more premium and upscale, comfortable experience, which is really the Palisade's primary mission. So why should you go for the XRT Pro? First of all, it looks cool, and what makes the XRT Pro the most capable Palisade you can currently get when it comes to off-roading doesn't actually make it a worse three-row SUV. The all-terrain tires are comfortable on pavement and don't make it feel spongier when you're driving, and the interior is still plenty roomy for bigger families. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro is a capable family SUV, but it might not be the best fit for your family.
