Nothing but issues since having this vehicle. Despite keeping up with routine maintenance and treating this car far better than it has treated me, it has been a nightmare of repairs and cheaply made parts.

  • Code 52

I bought this car used a month ago. It had to go through a lot of prep work. Since then the Code 52 is a constant every time you start the engine. The mechanic said just hit the menu button it resets. Said not to worry about it. But I do. It’s just wrong as far as I’m concerned. Why have a code pop for no reason. Other than that I like the car a lot.

  • Great car for a tight budget

It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.

  • Pretty good, but

Purchased the 2015 Chevy sonic at a dealer used for almost 15,000 miles that’s a lot for a used vehicle but with the market the way it is now used. Vehicles are a lot more expensive. Good thing I got the extended warranty on the unit because about six months later, the engine started heating up to where the check engine light would come on took it to you a Chevy dealer and not the dealer I bought it from and they found it needed a new radiator thermostat and oil seal gasket still cost me almost $300 but it would’ve cost me over 2300 to repair it my warranty is for 72 months or 80,000 miles which is great since I don’t actually drive it that much gas mileage is really good at it it’s a turbo so it really has a lot of power but one of the thing I noticed is that the car was clear coated And the rear bumper is starting to peel off the clearcoat

  • TOO MANY PROBLEMS.

TO MANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. AIR CONDITIONER LEAKAGE, CAR ACTS LIKE IT'S POSSESSED AT TIMES. OTHERWISE IT'S A REALLY NICE RIDE AND HANDLES WELL. IT ONLY HAS 11 7,662 ON IT AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE. I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT HAD 115,447. I HAVEN'T EVEN PUT 2000 MILES ON IT. I WISH CHEVY WOULD GIVE ME A FREE COMPUTER SCAN OR SOME MECHANIC THAT WON'T RIP ME OFF.

  • Piece of junk had to spend $4000 on a $3000 car.

Good car except replaced intake crankshaft sensor, intake camshaft actuator, coil rail, now engine due to oil pump. All this in 1 month I'm a mechanic keep our cars up always. Debating on junking it.

  • Own a year with 3 repairs that GM isn’t covering.

3 major repairs in one year which GM knows about but will not cover. Cars has 65,000 with a new coil, water pump (which is a know issue for 2010-2014, but not covering 2015) and radio issue. I own 3 GM cars and a Ford. Ford takes 100% responsibility for recalls. GM waits to see how many people get hurt or killed ( Buick airbag, suburban airbag) before they do anything. Getting away from GM vehicles because they just don’t stand behind them anymore..
