I've had mine for 4 years 2016 SLT ,traded my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe for a caddy srx which I drive as well as a 2018 GMC 1500. The Acadia has been super reliable .knock on wood.. just basic maintenance

  • Bad Headlights

Like the car but headlights are terrible. It looks like algae growing inside the lens. Bought it brand new and the dealer said it was normal to have moisture on the inside. Well it has been that way for 5 or so years now. 1000.00 a headlight to replace. Not to happy

  • A waste of money

This was our 2nd Acadia. Spent a lot of money when 1st purchased it. That should have been a warning. Around 70,000 miles the ac breaks down and of course out of warranty. $2800. The electrical system went out. Lights in and out of vehicle work occasionally. Very scary at night driving. Don’t know if the lights work or not. Ac broke again around 80,000 . GMC would not warranty their work. Another $2800. Transmission goes out at 81,000 miles $8400. Did not get done. Sold the car got a Toyota. Got lots of run around from GMC and the dealerships. Will never by another GMC product.

  • My favorite vehicle yet!

I bought the Denali back in October and I love everything about it, all the features and creature comforts and i especially love the styling, both in and out, all the shiny chrome and satin metal! I bought this because I love how big it is and I needed something to haul things around and it works perfectly. I did a lot of research on this vehicle before I purchased, I especially did an in-depth look at the reliability because it's a GM product and I must say that this vehicle is known to have AC troubles and that was the case with mine and since it's winter i haven't gotten that done yet but I will in the spring, but I went into this knowing it was a possibility so I'm not too bummed out about it and I took that risk, other than that the reliability has been solid no issues and mine has 60k miles! I also compared the Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse because I know they're very similar but I liked this the most.

  • Very reliable, well made

This vehicle has everything you would ever need. Backup camera, sunroof, leather seats. Great fuel mileage for the size of the vehicle. Third row, plenty of room for family and cargo.

  • The worst purchase I have ever made.

Everything that can go wrong with this car does. I bought mine used it was a year old and still had the extended warranty I've had it for 3 years. I've had to replace the entire steering column, the gas cap and I purge valve, my brakes went out on me a while back to mysteriously start working again, my lights went out at the same time, I replaced them and now my car is dead. In the shop $350 worth of eyeballing nothing has been replaced yet and they still don't know what the issue is.

  • Love Interior Layout and Heated Steering Wheel

I have the AWD SLT it currently has just over 43,000 miles. I have the 4 captain chair layout, makes it easy to get to the third row bench seat when needed. And the heated steering wheel is awesome in the winter and cooling front seats in the summer. Now things that GMC could work on. Hard to see the rear camera when the sun is out. Screen should have a small lip/shield over the top or inset further into the dash to prevent the glare. Also I upgraded to a “better” version of the entertainment system so navigation system/maps and camera would be better quality. Well...my husband has a 2017 GMC Sierra and his standard rear camera is WAY better. Need to offer heated seats to the other rows of seating like other car makers. Adding the cooling option in the rear seats would also be nice. Need to soundproof better. When I turned A/C off and stereo, I can hear way too much road noise. Outlet plugs for charging should be standard in the rear. I was told I had to buy the video headrest entertainment system to get that option. Why...I don’t need it! The HORRIBLE cover for the sunroof. It is a flimsy window screen with a plastic clip. I did NOT get this option due to the poor quality. Dealer joked if the clip broke they could paint the window black to keep the hot sun out. 🥺 Right....Needless to say found a different Dealer. They need to have the solid sliding piece like other car makers. Would be nice if the solid side and rear windows opened, helps with cooling off a hot vehicle, my previous Ford did. Not to mention allowing you dog 🐾🐾 to stick his/her head out. Had the wider side step installed. DON’T DO IT...so wide you have to step over it and now it’s a pain in the xxx, not used and makes it difficult to get into and out of the vehicle. As for maintenance, a couple of recalls, the trim ring fell apart from the shifter and had to be replaced at 7,500 miles and the air conditioning evaporator was just replaced. Considering the low mileage for a 4 year old vehicle, not impressed with AC issue and repair took 4 days. I had to keep calling for a status. Would I buy the make “New” again, probably not. I would opt for a Certified Use with low mileage and some decent warranty left on it. I would also look at another make, only because they have a more sporty exterior. Note...just found this site last week when I was trying locating A/C issues. Hope this info helps.

  • Worst mistake I've EVER made!!

The current piece of junk I'm driving has been a nightmare. Erratic temperature gauge, AC doesn't work half the time, torque converter has entire vehicle shuddering between 1800 and 2100 rpms. Power steering goes out at low speeds and random things like "special functions only available in park" flash on the dash when taking off from a stop. NO ONE HAS TOUCHED THE BUTTON!!!!! This car is the biggest disappointment I've ever purchased!

  • Not the most reliable.

Leg room and comfortably is good. Carrying passengers of 6 is ideal. Must have cargo carrier for luggages over 5 passenger. Existing problems with steering pump and rack. New brakes and tires at 38000. Wearout is fast for those items. Interior parts , covers for rear storage clip broke. And handle to back liftgate lose/ broken at 58000 miles.
