Photo Gallery: 2018 Jeep Wrangler Redesigned But Still Rugged

CARS.COM — Jeep’s Wrangler has historically had a cult following, making it crucial for the automaker to not screw it up. Fans can breathe easy; the new 2018 model made its debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show — and although it’s completely redesigned, the Wrangler maintains much of its look and all of its rugged, go-anywhere spirit for 2018.

Outside, the new Wrangler is slightly longer and the hood is more level. In front, the grille is slightly reshaped and LED headlights are optional, as are LED taillights. The Jeep logo has been moved from the grille to the side of the front fenders, and fenders are higher and reshaped. Jeep says the new Wrangler can accommodate a 33-inch tire without any modification (or a 35-inch tire with a 2-inch lift kit).

The cabin also has been remade for 2018, with a new emphasis on comfort. Many of the surfaces are now rubberized, especially the touch points around the stereo. Grab handles have moved from the dash to the A-pillars, and new premium trim options bring leather wrapping to the dash for the first time.
