The recall of the 2-model-years-old would-be Tesla Model X competitor — for an issue with the regenerative brakes and their ability to slow the car with the driver’s intended force — covers some 3,000 units, a substantial percentage of the I-Pace’s total sales, which average around 200 a month. That’s a bummer, and to add insult to (potential) injury, let’s just say a whole hell of a lot more than any of the above-cited numbers read about the brake defect. As a result, the I-Pace recall speeds straight to the top of this week’s list of most-read articles, managing to coast to a stop, at last, at No. 1.
