2007 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra Priced Near Outgoing Models

This is the kind of move we like to see in the automotive business. GM’s new pickups — the 2007 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra — will have their most popular versions priced almost identically to the models they replace. Extended cab pricing for both models starts at $23,605, while the crew cabs start at $27,000. Both prices are for two-wheel-drive models with standard V-8 engines and include a $900 destination charge.

Full pricing for the entire lineup, including regular cab and V-6 models, is still on its way, but the company says nearly half of the models are within $300 of the outgoing lineup, while others in the range see a steeper price increase.

Expect the new Sierra and Silverado trucks to arrive at dealerships in November.
