Mercedes-Benz rolled out three cars at its North American International Auto Show 2009 New Year’s Reception in Detroit, but only one of the three caught my eye. Nicknamed the “Silver Arrow,” the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 McLaren Stirling Moss wasn’t designed for the race track, but rather as an homage to both an immortal figure in automotive racing and his metal steed. With production limited to just 75 units — and costing a whopping $983,100 — I’m pretty sure I’ll never see one of these on the road. But what a glorious sight it would be.
