The Dodge Charger seems next in line for an overhaul in Chrysler’s continuing renovation of its products. To tease the upcoming redesigned sedan, the company has released the above shot of the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit police car.

Engine information reveals that the police car will get the  new global V-6 engine named the Pentastar. It’s a 3.6-liter that is E-85 capable, but no horsepower specifications were revealed. A 5.7-liter Hemi engine will also be offered. Of course, the version sold to consumers could offer a different array of engines, but we doubt it.

Municipalities will be able to order the 2011 Charger Pursuit in September. The rest of the country … will have to wait a bit longer. Check out a larger version of the Pursuit below.
