2012 Jeep Pickup Greenlit for Production?

The news from Chrysler’s dealership convention keeps trickling in. There is word that a Jeep pickup truck will be produced by 2012, according to our friends at PickupTrucks.com.

This would be the first Jeep pickup offered since 1992. The model would reportedly be based off a four-door Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited, but in a two-door cab configuration with limited space behind the front row for cargo.

The model is expected to go into production in the third quarter of 2011 and be badged a 2012 model year. For more info, visit PickupTrucks.com.
