2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Priced at $48,990

Overall, the 2012 trims offer more value and better fuel economy compared to their predecessors. The 2012 M-Class has nine airbags, including a new knee airbag, and there’s a new standard drowsiness detection system that monitors driver attentiveness. There’s also a new active damping suspension system standard on both trims. Check out our First Look to learn more about what has changed on the model.
The 2012 ML350 4matic is powered by a revised 302-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 that’s mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. It gets an EPA-estimated 17/22 mpg city/highway; the 2011 got 15/20 mpg. The 2012 ML350 Bluetec gets a revised 240-hp, 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine, producing 455 pounds-feet of torque. It gets 20/25 mpg, which is up from 18/25 mpg in 2011.
Both trims get Bluetooth audio streaming, LED daytime running lights, 19-inch aluminum wheels, a 7-inch center console display, 4.5-inch instrument cluster display, heated front seats, aluminum roof rails and eight-way power-adjustable front seats standard.
