Recall Alert: 2012-2013 Nissan Altima

By David Thomas  on October 22, 2012

Nissan is recalling 13,919 Altima sedans due to bolts that weren't torqued properly during assembly, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. 2012- and 2013-model-year Altimas built between May 10 and July 26, 2012, could have the bolts become loose and fall out, leading to a loss of control. You can check to see when your car was built on a label affixed to the driver's side doorjamb.

Nissan will begin the recall on or around Oct. 29. For more info, owners can call Nissan at 800-647-7261 or NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236.
