CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 11,000 model-year 2013-16 Mercedes-Benz G550 and AMG G63 SUVs, and model-year 2016 AMG G65 SUVs

The Problem: The steering coupling may have been insufficiently tightened, resulting in the steering connection wearing; this could result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the steering coupling for free.

What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying owners in May. Owners can call the automaker at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
