2013 Nissan NV200: What's New

Vehicle Overview

Nissan expands its range of business-oriented NV models with the debut of the NV200 compact cargo van. Available in the beginning of the 2013 calendar year, the NV200 is powered by a four-cylinder engine and has an estimated payload capacity of 1,500 pounds. Competitors include the Ford Transit Connect and Ram Cargo Van.

Exterior
The NV200’s front-end incorporates familiar Nissan styling cues like a mesh-style grille or an optional grille with chrome slats. The swept-back nose and raked windshield give the NV200 a unique appearance. Additional exterior features include:

  • Fifteen-inch steel wheels with all-season tires
  • Dual, sliding side doors
  • 60/40-split rear doors that can open 180 degrees
  • Available heated side mirrors
  • Available glass windows in the rear doors

Interior
The work-oriented interior features two front bucket seats that are finished in cloth with vinyl wear patches. A center console storage area can hold a laptop or hanging files, and the passenger seat can fold flat to be used as a makeshift table. The cargo area behind the seats measures 123 cubic feet. Additional interior features include:

  • Power windows
  • Cargo-area mounting points for aftermarket racks and shelves
  • Available power door locks
  • Available cruise control
  • Available navigation system
  • Available Bluetooth connectivity

Under the Hood
Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that works with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Additional mechanical features include:

  • Strut front suspension, leaf spring rear suspension
  • Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes
  • Electric-assist power steering

Safety features include:

  • Antilock brakes
  • Side-impact airbags
  • Side curtain airbags
  • Electronic stability system
  • Available backup camera
