2014-2015 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid Software, Battery Issue

The problem: Affected vehicles may display poor steering performance and/or difficulty cranking/starting in cold weather. These conditions are due to a software glitch in the electronic steering control module and a faulty 12-volt vehicle battery.

Vehicles affected by this service bulletin:

• 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid
• 2015 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid

Applies to vehicles registered in the following cold-weather states: Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Corrective action: Dealers will update the steering control module software and replace the vehicle’s 12-volt battery.

Warranty info: This service campaign is being performed free of charge under the limited new-car warranty.
