2014-2015 Toyota Highlander Power Back Door Issue
The problem: Affected vehicles may exhibit a condition where the power back door is inoperative or stops during operation. The condition may be associated with cold weather and may be due to a faulty power unit and/or multiplex door connector in the power door.
Vehicles affected by this service bulletin:
- 2014 Toyota Highlander
- 2015 Toyota Highlander
- 2014 Toyota Highlander HV
- 2015 Toyota Highlander HV
Corrective action: Dealers will replace faulty power units and/or the multiplex door connector, and then reprogram the new parts to the body control module.
Warranty info: This service bulletin is being performed free of charge under the Toyota new-vehicle warranty.
