The Audi Allroad, an all-wheel-drive wagon with higher ground clearance and exterior cladding designed to add a bit of ruggedness, returned to the automaker’s lineup last year. It’s based on the A4 and replaced the A4 Avant wagon. The five-seat Allroad competes against the Volvo XC70.
New for 2014 The Allroad’s turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets a horsepower bump from 211 hp to 220 hp. Features of the Convenience Package (Bluetooth connectivity, a HomeLink garage door opener, iPod connectivity and a driver information system) are now standard, and keyless access with push-button start is now included in Premium Plus versions.
