For 2014, the Honda Odyssey gets some minor work done inside and out to make it even more attractive to minivan shoppers. Its looks are refreshed with a new hood, front bumper, grille and fenders while the rear remains relatively the same besides new LED-enhanced taillights.

Minivan aficionados should understand, however, that the Odyssey on display at the auto show is the top-level Touring Elite version, which traditionally has featured some nicer exterior amenities — from unique side mirrors to wheels — than the rest of the lineup.

Inside, the top trim shows off a new center stack of controls. It has the same two-screen setup that we’ve seen in new Acuras and the new Honda Accord. The lower touch-screen can be used to make various adjustments while the larger screen is used just for display purposes.

The Touring Elite also comes packed with tech features like a navigation and multimedia system that can access smartphone apps and read news feeds from Facebook and Twitter to the driver.

And then, of course, there’s the HondaVac system. Available only on the top-tier Touring Elite, this handy — yet still an added cost option — can suck up messes. It’s housed in the cargo area, but Honda says the vacuum hose can reach all the way to the front seats. We wrote a post about the functionality here.

These changes don’t radically alter the Odyssey of today, but when you build one of the best minivans on the market, there’s not much reason to change the recipe.
