2014 Land Rover Range Rover Long Wheelbase Real-World Cargo Space
Land Rover’s ultra-posh Range Rover wasn’t lacking interior or cargo space before 2014. Still, that didn’t stop Land Rover from offering the ultimate Range Rover backseat experience with a new long wheelbase model by lengthening the aluminum unibody for an additional 7.3 inches of backseat legroom and an overall 7.9 inches of exterior body length.

Other than legroom, the Range Rover Long Wheelbase’s cargo volume increases from 71.7 cubic feet to 82.8 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. Cargo space behind the highly versatile split-folding 40/20/40 backseat remains unchanged at 32.1 cubic, closed off by a clamshell-type cargo opening with lower tailgate and upper liftgate. The less commonly used clamshell tailgate requires a good long reach to retrieve items in the back when the tailgate is folded, one annoyance of the style.
