2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: What's New

Vehicle Overview

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is available as a coupe or sedan, in Sport or Luxury trim, and with a turbo 1.8-liter four-cylinder, 3.0-liter V-6 or a more powerful 3.5-liter V-6.

The C300 and C350 come standard with stop-start technology that shuts the engine off at a stop, restarting again when the gas pedal is pressed. Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive is standard on the C300 and available on the C350 coupe. Competitors include the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Infiniti G37 and Cadillac CTS.

A high-performance C63 AMG model, powered by a 6.3-liter V-8 that generates upward of 507 horsepower, is also available in both coupe and sedan body styles.

New for 2014

The C-Class gets only minor changes for 2014. The front grille has new black accents and split-folding rear seats come standard. Also, 18-inch wheels replace 17-inch wheels as standard equipment on C350 models.

  • C250 has a 201-hp, turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder with direct injection
  • C300 with 4Matic all-wheel drive has a 248-hp, 3.5-liter V-6
  • C350 has a 302-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 with direct injection
  • Seven-speed automatic transmission

C-Class Coupe
The C-Class coupe comes in rear-wheel-drive C250 and C350 variants and shares both its powertrains with the bigger sedans of these matching trims. The only difference is that the C-Class coupe gets steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for the seven-speed automatic transmission.

C63 AMG
Available as a sedan or coupe, the C63 bears more aggressive styling, complete with a wider track, glossy black bumper portions and unique 18-inch wheels.

New for 2014 is the C63 AMG Edition 507 option package. It replaces the previous P31 Development Package. Edition 507 bumps up the power from the P31’s 481 to a total of 507 horsepower. Included are a host of exterior and interior enhancements and tweaks that include the aluminum engine hood from the C63 AMG Black Series, unique 19-inch wheels, black body addenda, specific leather upholstery, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and Edition 507 interior badging.
