Chrysler’s SRT high-performance Core models are no-frills versions of the 470-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8 and Chrysler 300 SRT8 with fewer convenience options in exchange for a lower price. For 2014, Chrysler adds a new Satin Vapor Edition appearance package to up the base Core models’ unassuming looks with satin black highlights.

Inside, they feature Nappa leather seating with suede inserts. Each package has its own unique cost and slightly varying content and is tied to certain exterior colors.

Dodge’s Charger SRT8 Super Bee was the inspiration for the Core packages, and its $2,330 Satin Vapor Edition has a satin black roof and hood, spoiler and on the inside replaces the 4.3-inch multimedia display with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system. Super Bees start at $45,380 and offer the satin package on Bright White, Billet Silver, TorRed and Graphite exteriors.

Buyers will be able to add the Satin Vapor Editions to the Charger, Challenger and 300 SRT8 models in the second quarter of 2014.
