The problem: A red oil pressure warning light or “Shut Engine Off” light may illuminate on the dash. This may be due to a rubber oil drain plug in the oil filter housing being out of position or having insufficient tension from a spring.
Corrective action: If engine oil pressure is within specs, dealers will replace the rubber oil drain plug and spring.
Warranty info: This service bulletin is being performed free of charge under Audi’s limited new-vehicle warranty.
