2016-2019 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,100 model-year 2016-19 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans

The Problem: One or both of the rear-quarter windows may be tempered glass instead of laminated glass, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the tempered glass windows with laminated glass windows, as necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: Chevrolet and GMC manufacturer GM has not yet provided an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call Chevrolet at 800-222-1020, GMC at 800-462-8782, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
