CARS.COM — The 2016 BMW M2 is the successor to the 1 Series M coupe, and not only does it pack more power, it’s also been restyled to be more aerodynamic. BMW says drag has been reduced by 35 percent. Still, it manages to look pretty aggressive with large front air dams, side skirts, rear spoiler and a rear bumper with an integrated air diffuser and quad exhaust ports. BMW is showcasing the M2 at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Inside, the M2 gets M-specific front seats in black leather with blue contrast stitching, a branded three-spoke steering wheel, specific analog gauge cluster, carbon fiber and Alcantara simulated suede trim, plus a whole load of M badges.
