2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport: What's New

Vehicle Overview

The Land Rover Discovery Sport debuted for 2015 as a replacement for the LR2 in the automaker’s lineup and slots below the larger LR4. It is compact in dimensions and has standard seating for five. An optional two-seat third row transforms it into a seven-seat SUV. All-wheel drive is standard, along with a 240-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Competitors include the Acura RDX, BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
New for 2016
Land Rover’s InControl Protect emergency communication system is standard, and the standard InControl Remote system now lets you remotely start the engine, lock and unlock the doors, and activate the climate control system with your smartphone.
