2017-2018 Porsche Panamera: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 17,700 model-year 2017-18 Porsche Panamera, e-Hybrid, Sport Turismo and e-Hybrid Sport Turismo cars

The Problem: A software failure may result in an intermittent loss of electric power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the power steering control unit for free.

What Owners Should Do: Porsche will begin notifying owners Feb. 17. Owners can call the automaker at 800-767-7243, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
