CARS.COM

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,200 model-year 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat sports coupes and Charger SRT Hellcat sports sedans

The Problem: The engine oil cooler hoses may fail, resulting in a rapid loss of engine oil. If oil sprays onto the windshield or contacts a hot surface, it could impair the driver’s visibility and increase the risk of a crash or fire.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the engine oil cooler lines for free.

What Owners Should Do: Dodge manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners Sept. 22. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
