CARS.COM — For Lexus GS buyers who want some real performance upgrades above and beyond available appearance packages, check out the sporty F. This muscled up version of the rear-wheel-drive, mid-size luxury sedan tips its hand visually to its robust powertrain, a 467-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8 compared with the GS 200t’s 241-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.
For the 2017 model year, the GS F gets new painted, forged-aluminum wheels standard, as well as an optional new color head-up display and adaptive suspension. The test car we recently drove wore LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and a rear spoiler, plus an aggressive looking version of Lexus’ hourglass-shaped spindle grille.
Interior features included leather-trimmed “F” spec sport seats with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and eight-way front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, carpeted floor mats, a 12.3-inch multimedia display with navigation, a remote touch interface controller, Alcantara leather door and armrest trim, a model-exclusive scuff plate and sport pedals.
Additional features included rain-sensing automatic wipers, a power tilt and sliding moonroof, power folding exterior mirrors and water-repellant front door glass.
