CARS.COM — Mercedes-Benz redesigned its C-Class sedan for 2015 and the coupe for 2016, and is continuing to expand the lineup. The 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe will make its debut next week at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show.
The all-wheel-drive coupe slots between the regular model and the AMG C63 Coupe. It gets power from a 362-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. That’s up from the regular coupe’s 241-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The automaker says the 3.0-liter is good for a zero-to-60-mph sprint of 4.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
In front, AMG cues include a diamond-pattern grille with chrome-plated pins, a silver-chrome front splitter and a deep front bumper with huge air dams. In back, there’s a trunk-lid spoiler as well as two chrome-plated tailpipes. Gloss-black exterior mirrors match a gloss-black waistline trim strip and window frame, and it rides on 18-inch gloss-black wheels.
Up next for the C-Class family is the cabriolet version, set to debut next week. Check out the C43 Coupe gallery below, and check back next week for more details when it makes its debut at the show.
