CARS.COM — Unveiled at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet will let you drop the top before you drop the hammer and let the hand-built V-8 wail. To keep the car on the road with all of its power, the C63 Cabriolet is 2.5 inches wider at the front and 2.6 inches wider at the rear than the regular C-Class Cabriolet. Flared wheel arches, side skirts, a front splitter, a rear diffuser and a lip spoiler on the trunk lid are some of the aerodynamic touches that should help drivers keep the open top pointing toward the sky. The cloth top has a glass window and is retractable at speeds up to 31 miles per hour, according to Mercedes-Benz. A design touch purists will love: The side mirrors are mounted to the doors rather than in the mirror triangle.

The interior features sport seats and a three-spoke steering wheel. The wheel sits ahead of faux carbon-fiber gauges. There are performance seats available that replace the standard sport seats; these create a lower seating position and have increased lateral bolstering. Check out the gallery for more.
