CARS.COM — For 2017, the Toyota Highlander unveiled at the 2016 New York International Auto Show gets a mild refresh inside and out. In front, a thinner bar separates the two-piece grille, and it sits higher up than the previous model. The finishes on the grilles and headlight housings are trim-level dependent: Lower-trim finishes are painted silver, while the Limited and Limited Platinum trims have chrome finishes.
Toyota also added some small tweaks to the interior. Brown leather is now available on higher-trim models, and there are four more USB ports divided evenly between the front and rear seats. Limited and Limited Platinum models are now available with a middle bench seat, upping passenger capacity to a maximum of eight.
