CARS.COM — Acura has announced that it will unveil a refreshed 2018 version of its TLX mid-size sedan at the 2017 New York International Auto Show on April 11.
A teaser image of the new TLX’s front end shows the luxury sedan retaining the five-sided grille opening but losing the “cowcatcher” insert for a radiating grid of small diamond shapes. The signature LED headlights return but now get an amber LED eyebrow that appears to comprise both daytime running lights and turn signals.
“The 2018 TLX will receive new styling elements that ratchet up its emotion and reflect Acura’s focus on Precision Crafted Performance,” said Jon Ikeda, Acura vice president and general manager, referring to Acura’s tagline in a statement.
Acura says that in addition to an updated look, the 2018 TLX will get unspecified new premium features and technological upgrades. We hope that includes a new-generation multimedia system for the premium sedan that is easier to use and includes such now-mainstream features as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
