CARS.COM — We’ve ooohed and ahhhed over the Lexus LC 500 since it debuted at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. Los Angeles Bureau Chief Brian Wong said he’d never had more interactions with other motorists and passersby than he did when driving it. Since no one seems able to stop staring at the gorgeous coupe, here’s a photo gallery where it does what it does best: look stunning.
On our tester — Infrared paint with a Toasted Caramel interior — the deeper red of the exterior perfectly complements the softer brown inside. Lexus’ grand tourer rides optional 21-inch wheels with black accents, while the optional Performance Package adds a carbon-fiber roof, carbon-fiber door sills, Alcantara sport seats and headliner, an active rear spoiler and active rear-wheel steering.
All the weight of the car is moved by a 471-horsepower, naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8 with 398 pounds-feet of torque, good enough to hit 60 mph in a Lexus-claimed 4.4 seconds, but why would you want to move so quickly and miss those looks? There was also a premium Mark Levinson stereo inside our tester, but we’d rather listen to the LC 500’s exhaust note.
