CARS.COM — The Mercedes-AMG GT, showing at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, is one of the prettiest cars on the market today, and it backs up those looks by being a joy to drive. For the 2018 model year, updates to the GT include a new 15-bar grille and front bumper, which combine to give the sports car a more aggressive stance and bring its looks in line with the GT3 race car version. An active air management system is now available across the lineup as well, and the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 produces more horsepower and torque.
The new GT C coupe version, pictured below, is the latest addition to the lineup and debuted at the 2017 Detroit auto show. The coupe version of the GT C roadster that debuted at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show boasts the same power figures of 550 horsepower and 502 pounds-feet of torque.
When the coupe and roadster go on sale, they will launch as a special “Edition 50” version to mark the 50th anniversary of AMG. An exclusive Designo Graphite Grey Magno paint color and silver-and-black interior combination indicate these are special editions. New interior and exterior styling options round out the changes to the rest of the lineup for 2018, but let’s be honest: You’re just here to look at the pictures.
