Vehicles Affected: Approximately 400 model-year 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300, C300 4Matic, and Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63S convertibles, coupes and sedans
The Problem: Incorrect bonding of the rear window may cause the window to loosen and detach from the vehicle, which can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will rework the rear window bonding for free.
What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying owners Nov. 2. Owners can call the automaker at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
