2019 Ford Fusion Energi: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,100 model-year 2019 Ford Fusion Energi sedans
The Problem: A lack of enhanced high-voltage access protection could allow contact with an uncovered high-voltage fuse through a small gap behind the access panel, increasing the risk of injury.
Ford said it is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries resulting from this condition.
The Fix: Dealers will install a cover over the high-voltage battery electrical center for free.
What Owners Should Do: Ford did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 866-436-7332, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
