The two-seat Mercedes-AMG GT is the automaker’s flagship sports car. Offered in coupe and roadster form, it competes with high-end sports cars like the Audi R8 and Porsche 911. The standard engine is a 469-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, but uplevel trims get more-powerful versions of the engine, all the way up to the 577-hp R model. All versions are rear-wheel drive and have a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The AMG GT is a high-performance sports car that doesn’t skimp on luxury or off-the-line performance. It’s one of Mercedes’ best-driving cars of late and it can hold its own on the track, too. Visibility isn’t great, but we’re nonetheless big fans of this car.
