The exterior styling of the E-Tron carries over largely unchanged from the 2022 model. For 2023, Prestige versions of the E-Tron Sportback, E-Tron S and E-Tron S Sportback now come with standard LED matrix headlights. The Sportback gets several other newly standard items for its Prestige trim, including 22-inch five-spoke turbine wheels, rear side airbags, illuminated seat belt buckles, orange brake calipers and the Black Optic Package, which adds black exterior accents.

The interior also carries over largely unchanged, but the E-Tron Sportback now has a standard black headliner. Meanwhile, the E-Tron S and the E-Tron Sportback S get standard LED interior lighting as well as carbon square inlays. All E-Trons are equipped with two touchscreens: a 10.1-inch screen up top for the bulk of the infotainment system and a smaller 8.6-inch screen below it for the climate controls.

Performance for the 2023 E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback comes from a pair of electric motors that are paired with a 95-kilowatt-hour battery pack for a combined system output of 355 horsepower; putting the E-Tron in Sport mode allows for a boost that briefly raises this figure to 402 hp. The E-Tron S and S Sportback have a total output of 429 hp or 496 hp with the boost mode. All-wheel drive is standard across the entire lineup.

Range varies across the lineup, with the E-Tron getting an EPA-rated 226 miles between charges and the E-Tron Sportback achieving 225 miles; the E-Tron S has an EPA-rated 208 miles of range, and the S Sportback has 212 miles of range. Additionally, the E-Tron is also able to tow up to 4,000 pounds, while both S variants have a 3,300-pound towing capacity.
