2023 Audi Q5, SQ5 See New Equipment, Price Increases in New Year
The 2023 Audi Q5 and SQ5 are entering the new year with more standard equipment and trim updates as part of a broader initiative by the brand to enhance the feature content of most of its models. Audi has also increased the starting price of the Q5 to $45,395 (all pricing includes a $1,195 destination fee).

While the 2023 lineup largely carries over from the 2022 model year, Audi has made some welcome changes to available equipment. Adaptive cruise control is now standard on all Q5s and SQ5s, and the Premium Plus trim gets access to a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 3D sound technology. Q5 55 Prestige variants with the Sport Plus Package get OLED taillights, and Chronos Gray gets axed for Quantum Gray on the color roster.
Performance remains the same, with the Q5 still offering a diverse roster of engines for buyers to choose from. The Q5 40 TFSI gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 201 horsepower, while an optional version of the same engine produces 261 hp in the 45 TFSI and Q5 Sportback. The Q5 plug-in hybrid comes with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor for a total of 362 hp; it’s the lone green-focused member of the Q5 family. Meanwhile, the SQ5 and the SQ5 Sportback continue to be the performance-focused members of the lineup, featuring a 349-hp, turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6.
Quattro all-wheel drive is standard across the entire lineup. Q5s come with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and SQ5 variants have an eight-speed automatic.
