2025 Audi A3: Standard AWD for Brand’s Cheapest Sedan
Audi has been lavishing attention on its entry-level A3 sedan of late, redesigning it and its high-performance S3 and RS 3 derivatives for the 2022 model year and tweaking the trio for 2024. For 2025, Audi has further refined the A3 family by updating it inside and out — and in the S3’s case, underneath, too.

The LED headlights and taillights have been massaged on both the A3 and S3. The former also gets a redesigned front bumper and grille, as well as a rear bumper with a more prominent diffuser. On the S3, there’s a new front spoiler, four selectable looks for the daytime running lights and a refreshed rear bumper.
Inside, the littlest Audis sport more standard equipment: A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen and ambient lighting are now included across the board. A 360-degree camera system will be available later for the 2025 model year.
Powertrain Specs
Both the A3’s and S3’s turbocharged four-cylinder engines are pumped up for 2025. The A3’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder gains an additional 15 pounds-feet of torque, bringing its total to 236 (horsepower remains unchanged at 201), while the S3’s turbocharged 2.0-liter puts out an extra 22 hp, bumping it to 328 (the S3’s peak torque is still 295 pounds-feet, but it’s now delivered across a wider spread of the power band). Both engines are paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission tuned for greater responsiveness and quicker shifts. And now, even the lowliest A3 includes standard all-wheel drive.
Audi went further beneath the S3, which now features stiffer suspension bushings and the torque-vectoring rear differential from the RS 3. A new Dynamic Plus drive mode is aimed at helping drivers extract greater performance from the updated chassis.
