2025 Audi Q4 e-Tron Gets RWD Variant Back, Priced From $51,095

Midway through 2024, Audi overhauled its Q4 e-Tron lineup, ditching the electric compact SUV’s rear-drive base variant and bolstering the all-wheel-drive versions with more power and range. For 2025, the rear-driver is back and sporting the same upgrades, as well as a higher numeric suffix. Previously known as the Q4 40 e-Tron, the entry-level SUV now boasts an additional 81 horsepower (for a total of 282), 23 miles of range (up to 288) and a promotion to Q4 45 e-Tron. Those are some major gains for just a hundred bucks, which is how much the 2025 model’s price increases over the rear-drive 2024 model.

Across the Q4 e-Tron lineup, the previously optional Technology Package is now standard, adding a digital instrument cluster, navigation and road-sign recognition. A new Cold Weather Package is available for the AWD Q4 55 e-Tron and includes a heat pump, which regulates cabin temperature more efficiently than a traditional climate-control system, and a heated windshield.

Powertrain Specs and Range
Audi says the RWD Q4 e-Tron’s new electric motor cleaves 1.6 seconds from its 0-60 time, dropping it to 6.3 seconds. Total output for the dual-motor AWD Q4 55 e-Tron is unchanged from 2024’s mid-year update, at 335 hp; Audi says it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in five seconds flat. Both the 45 and 55 powertrains are available in the regular Q4 e-Tron, but the coupelike Sportback variant is only available in dual-motor 55 trim.
All Q4 e-Trons draw power from an 82-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The AWD 55 e-Tron drains its battery in 30 fewer miles than the rear-driver, with an EPA-rated range of 258 miles. Capable of accepting up to 175 kilowatts, the Q4 E-Tron can replenish its battery from 10%-80% in 28 minutes on a DC fast charger.
