2026 Maserati MCPura Is a More Comfortable, More Limited GT2 Stradale

Halo cars are aspirational, objects of lust that live only in most gearheads’ dream garages. For Maserati, its mid-engined MC20 halo car is also something to be milked. Following close on the heels of the track-focused MC20 GT2 Stradale comes another MC20 derivative revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: the 2026 Maserati MCPura.

Whereas the GT2 Stradale compromises on comfort in its mission to bring the visceral excitement of a GT2-class racecar to the street, the MCPura seeks to balance what Maserati calls “the origins of the Trident’s DNA: pure speed, luxury and passion.” So, on your mental spectrum of MC20s — or in your dream garage — slot it between the regular car and the Stradale.

Alcantara for Exclusivity
Available as either a coupe or retractable-hardtop convertible (“Cielo,” in Maserati speak), the MCPura features a full Alcantara synthetic-suede interior. That’s in contrast to the GT2’s minimalist cabin, in which the carbon-fiber structure is exposed in many places to underscore its hardcore intent and amplify the shriek from the twin-turbocharged V-6. The two-tone upholstery is laser-etched with Maserati’s trident logo on the head restraints, and the synthetic suede also lines the flat-top-and-bottom steering wheel. MCPura coupe buyers can spec a steering wheel with embedded gear-change LEDs and a bare carbon-fiber finish.
The MCPura wears a sharper nose than the regular MC20, but its body is otherwise largely unchanged. Buyers wanting a showier car can opt for a large spoiler like that on the GT2 Stradale, but a discrete spoiler is standard. The unique rear bumper can be had in bare carbon fiber or painted black, the buyer’s choice of matte or gloss.
Be Deviled
Aside from MCPura badges on its flanks, the major exterior development of the MCPura is its paint catalog. The available palette consists of 11 hues, two of which (Ai Aqua Rainbow on the car revealed at Goodwood and Devil Orange) are exclusive to the MCPura. Just for comparison, GT2 Stradale customers can choose from only four colors.
Maserati’s Nettuno engine is also unchanged for MCPura duty. Displacing 3.0 liters, the twin-turbocharged V-6 generates 621 horsepower and 538 pounds-feet of torque. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it sends the MCPura from 0-60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed above 202 mph, per Maserati.
Release Date and Pricing
Orders for the Maserati MCPura open Friday, with deliveries to begin in December. Of a worldwide total of around 400 units, Maserati will bring 120 copies of the MCPura to the U.S. (The brand built 914 GT2 Stradales.) Buyers will no doubt know what they are paying, but Maserati won’t be telling us proles what the MCPura costs until deliveries commence.
