All-Electric F-150 Ready for Debut, But It's for Kids
If there is any company on the planet that understands you need to reach your consumers as soon as possible and as often as possible, it's a toy company. And that's exactly what Fisher-Price had in mind when it partnered with Ford Motor Co. to produce a version of the 2015 F-150.
The Power Wheels F-150 retails for $349.99 and will go on sale later this fall. Fisher-Price and Ford representatives got together and shared data and designs for about nine months before the new F-150 had its world debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It's worth noting that Ford makes $2 billion annually with hundreds of licensing agreements from products like small toys, pinball machines, pool tables and even cologne. The F-150 and Mustang are the two most popular models in this arena.
