Along with a refreshed Avalon (above), Toyota will trot out two special edition models at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show next week: the midsize Camry and compact Corolla sedans. The 2016 Toyota Camry Special Edition and 2016 Toyota Corolla Special Edition pair a unique feature package with aesthetic upgrades both inside and out; both models will have a limited production run.

Toyota’s Camry is all-new for 2015 from the ground up with only the roof remaining unchanged from the 2014 model. During Cars.com’s $27,000 Midsize Sedan Challenge, our editors found the Camry’s styling polarizing; some loved the new front-end design while others wondered how the gaping grille could ever survive life in the city. The Camry Special Edition comes in two colors, Blizzard Pearl and the all-new Blue Streak Metallic, and the outside also wears new 18-inch wheels and smoked taillights.

Camry Special Editions are based on the Camry SE trim level and include additional interior features like a moonroof; blue contrast stitching on the seats, shifter and dashboard; sport seats with blue inserts and a unique blue-accented gauge cluster. It also features Entune Audio Plus, smart-key access with push-button start and wireless mobile device charging.

The compact Corolla Special Edition starts with the S Plus trim level and adds gloss black 17-inch wheels and three exterior colors: Absolutely Red, Black Sand Pearl and Super White. Inside, Corolla Special Editions wear a black interior with red contrast stitching, red-accented dashboard and door trim, smart-key access with push-button start and unique floor mats.

Both the Camry Special Edition and Corolla Special Edition will be made in limited quantities with the Camry starting production in August and going through January 2016 for a run of 12,000 units. The Corolla’s unique trim starts production in August and ends in December after producing 8,000 examples.
